I don’t see quality very much. People don’t know how to use the medium to make something good, but now everybody can make something. So they do. You get a Canon 5D and a laptop and some software, now you can do films and pictures and links and put them out for the world to see, tweet, blah blah blah. Things aren’t coming from a distinctive point of view: people are scavenging, passing the buck. We have more tools to create, but we are less creative. Everyone is copies: a mini-Meisel, a mini-Demarchelier. But why should I work with a lesser person when I can work with the original? I want to work with Joe Schmo if he comes in with new pictures - but no one comes in with new pictures!
